Course overview

Start with the field user's experience and the operational problem to solve. This leadership session connects mobile work with the people, processes, information and support needed to make it useful across operations and maintenance.

Agenda: business purpose and the connected operating program; ownership and enabling disciplines; an illustrative asset-identity, current-information and safety-boundary case; investment and deployment readiness; a sponsor decision exercise; commitments and the next review.

Participants will learn how to:
• Define a bounded workflow, location and user group.
• Assign sponsor, process, data, technical and support responsibilities.
• Identify prerequisites for trustworthy information, secure field use and failed-transaction recovery.
• Set baseline evidence and decision gates for a pilot.
• Record a prepare, pilot or defer decision with an owned next step.

Duration: 60 teaching minutes, including a 15-minute sponsor decision exercise, with no scheduled break. This is a leadership decision session, with no device lab or claim of operational proficiency.
